Today Barton had his peritoneal catheter and stent taken out. He was able to go home a few hours after the surgery. Unfortunately, due to excessive bleeding from the incision he is currently in the emergency room. Prayers are always welcome!

It has been exactly one month since the surgery. Miriam is still experiencing a lot of pain and after watching a YouTube video of the same surgery, she understands.
Barton is not experiencing much pain and is walking a great deal every day, but he gets tired very fast and his medications still make him groggy. Thank you for all your love and support.

A huge thank you to DogBoy's Dog Ranch for keeping our sweet Rottweiler for 3 weeks. We had no worries because we knew that she was in a wonderful place and getting so much love. If you need a day camp or boarding for your dog, we highly recommend DogBoy's in Pflugerville!

Barton and Miriam are healing each day. Miriam's sisters left today. Miriam fell today and hurt her back. In addition to her back pain she has swelling and pain from her incisions.  Barton and Miriam appreciate all of the well wishes, food, and prayers.

We have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow. Barton has 2 doctors appointments and Miriam has 1 also. Barton's blood pressure has slightly improved. Miriam is still experiencing high pain levels because she isn't taking any pain medication due to severe vertigo. Once again thank you so much to everyone's support and prayers.

We appreciate all the people who want to come and visit but Barton's doctors are advising against visitors for his well being. He has already lost 26 pounds from both of his surgeries. Also his blood pressure has been bordering dangerously low numbers. We will post once his doctors approve visitors. Thanks for understanding.

It was a very successful first day home. Miriam and Barton are both experiencing pain and weakness as expected.
